INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

On this page we will give you step by step instructions on "How to install your custom decals. "It's very important to prepare the surface correctly to insure that your decal will last. The surface must be free of all dirt, wax & any sealers. The surface should be a minimum of 50 degrees and no more than 85 degrees. If the surface is not warm enough you can preheat the surface with a blow dryer or head gun, but this isn't always the best option. On a warm sunny day we suggest that you do not apply it in the direct sunlight. Do not store your uninstalled decals in the direct sunlight. Try to store your decals in a cool, dry, flat place. Your decals are prepared to be installed on the outside of the vehicle unless otherwise indicated.

Step 1: If the surface is extremely dirty, clean it with soap & water to remove the dirt. Then using rubbing or denatured alcohol, (this is highly recommended) you will want to go over the area again. (This will remove any wax or sealers, that may be on the surface-this is very important) If alcohol is not available you can use glass cleaner.
Step 2: To temporarily hold your decal in place, in the area that you are applying it. Apply several small strips of making tape to the top of your decal & the surface.

Step 3: Using a tape measure or a straight edge ruler, line up the decal to the straightest body line or molding on the vehicle. Step back and make sure it looks the way you want it to look. Sometimes even the straightest body line doesn't always look straight. Use your best judgment.
Step 4: Once the decal is in place, where you want it. Apply a horizontal piece of masking tape (approx 2" wide) across the top of the decal. Applying half the tape on the decal & half the tape on the surface of the vehicle.
Step 4: (Option) If your decal is a lot wider (left to right) then it is tall, you can apply the masking tape down the middle. (from top to bottom)

Step 5: With the masking tape now creating a hinge, fold your decal up, folding on the hinge. Start removing the wax backing paper, starting from the top and pulling downward approx 1/2 way down.

Step 5: (Option) With the masking tape now creating a hinge, fold your decal in half, pull the backing paper away from that half of the decal & tear at the middle. (NOT TEARING THE TAPE OR DECAL)

Step 6: With even, overlapping strokes. Using firm pressure, start applying your decal with your squeegee. Begin at the top center & work your way down & outward to each end of the decal. Continue to slowly remove the wax paper backing as you go until you have squeegeed the whole decal.

Step 6: (Option) With even, firm pressure, start applying your decal with your squeegee. Begin at the middle (where your masking tape is holding the decal down) squeegee away from the middle towards the end in small strokes. Repeat on the other half.

Step 7: Once the decal has been successfully applied to the surface. Remove the Transfer tape. Start to remove a small corner of the transfer tape. Pull the tape in a downward motion, do not pull straight away from the vehicle. Keep an eye on the vinyl to make sure that it is staying on the surface of the vehicle.

Step 8: After you removed the transfer tape, look over the vinyl decal. You will need to split your decal anywhere that it falls on a seam, after cutting ALL seams, go back & roll the decal around the edge. If you see any air bubbles, us a pin, or the point of a x-acto blade, (with a new blade) poke a hole in the bubble & rub the air out of the hole with your finger (using the squeeze can damage the vinyl).
